Emberfoot amphibians are normally red and larger than their other magical counterparts. This trait allows them to ignite parts of their bodies for protection. The Lotl, for example, can ignite its own feet and gills on contact with air.

This trait provides the amphibian with a transparent torso, giving it the appearance of vulnerability. However, glassguts have strong skin and sharp-tongues they use to stab at any would-be predators.

A potent poison sits on the surface of Plagueskins, becoming airborne when the animal is frightened. Though not fatal, a large dose can incapacitate an average adult.
